FAQ
What is the Foundation?
The Hoover City Schools Foundation was formed nearly two decades ago to provide individuals and businesses the opportunity to support Hoover City Schools. Your support of the Hoover City Schools Foundation gives you the opportunity to reach more than 13,000 students, their families, teachers and administrators – and to make a real difference in the future of our community.
Why do we need a Foundation?
In these challenging economic times, our mission has never been more important: fund worthwhile projects in our schools that otherwise would never happen or may be eliminated due to budget constraints of the school district. Whether you are a parent of a student or a resident without children in the District, ensuring the leading-edge excellence of our schools is critical.
Who is on the Foundation Board?
The Board is comprised of a cross-section of community leaders who support quality education for all students within the Hoover School District. The Foundation Board consists of as many as 20 dedicated members representing a broad base of knowledge and expertise. All Board Members are volunteers.
Where does the money go?
The money goes directly to schools, and primarily to teachers to run innovative programs for our 13,000+ children.
How can I give?
The Foundation welcomes direct donations at any time. Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible. To make a donation now, simply click on our “Contribute” page here on our web site.
